Connect with your patients and make them feel special

As a young medical practitioner, I always thought that if you are good at diagnosis, prescriptions, facial assessment, treatment planning, prognosis and have the ability to make your patient visualize the treatment outcomes, you will become a successful aesthetic doctor. To some extent it’s very true but it took almost 10 years for me to understand the importance of each and every aspect in a successful aesthetics practice. Whether it’s your front desk, waiting area, consultation chamber, procedure room or even for that matter restrooms and pantry, play an extremely important role and can sometimes help your clinic stand apart from others. Typically, in aesthetics it’s not the price which always matters but elements mentioned above also play a critical role. And not only the infrastructure but equally important is the staff and the tools which they use for appointment booking, registrations, payments, patient communication media, consultation, sharing the pre-post procedural instructions follow-up and feedback. It also matters how much you are able to connect with the patients and can you make them feel special.

It’s not the price but striking the chord is what matters

Here is a classic example from one of my recent experiences. My clinic manager, Shaziya has a unique knack of striking a rapport very early and taking care of our patients well. One day, one of our loyal patients was pleasantly surprised when everyone in the clinic wished her birthday with a flower and made her feel special. Even though it was not much of an expense, the caring gesture struck a chord. Thanks to the new tool we have been using, every colleague of ours stay absolutely aligned with clinic’s objectives.

Maestro Collaboratore

Many times, when I am in my clinic, I feel like a maestro collaborator, someone who conducts a symphony and makes everyone perform impeccably for the audience. Similarly, if you want to drive utmost patient satisfaction in your clinic, it has to be a well-coordinated and synergetic effort where no one underperforms – even the housekeeping staff who has the responsibility to offer beverages and refreshments to your patients.

The Karwa Chauth Story

Let me share another example where we proactively connected with our customers during Karwa Chauth and the tool that helped us manage that effortlessly. Recently, my front desk colleague, Mehak came up with a great idea. She wanted to carve out a special campaign during ‘Karwa Chauth’ for all our married female patients in the age group of 30 to 55 who were predominantly from North India. Typically, we don’t have these details, but thanks to this aesthetics clinic management tool, we were able to get all the data at the click of a button. Me, Shaziya and Mehak quickly designed the campaign (with no agency support) and placed it in our campaign builder 30 days prior to the festival. It proved to be a no brainer for us when we were trying to comprehend why so many patients who somehow didn’t visit the clinic for a long were seen in that month.

Cliniceo™– manage clinic affairs with countless customization options

As the number of patients, centres, procedures, and transactions grow and reach to a sizeable level, one starts to realize the need of introducing technology to control everything possible with the click of a button. Shaziya and I were looking for such a solution for a long period. In fact, we had tried multiple options, finally our search stopped at Cliniceo™. We found it a very Indianised way of managing our day-to-day clinic affairs with some amazing and countless customization options as per our clinic requirements. We could even create our own digital patient interest questionnaire, feedback forms and treatment planners. It provides you with numerous templates which can be further improvised and customized as per your clinic requirements.
I really like its simplicity and intuitiveness which enables you to virtually automate each and every step in your patients’ journey, seamlessly. The best part is, it’s developed in India, only for Aesthetics practices and their service team is available round the clock in case of any issues.
